Overview

ASTPP incorporates a robust security feature known as "Call Barring," which provides administrators with the authority to either blacklist or whitelist caller IDs or destination numbers. This feature can be applied system-wide or tailored to specific user accounts.

Table of Contents

Purpose

  1. Utilizing "Call Barring" to create or update numbers with asterisks (e.g., **), facilitates prefix-based call blocking. The set criteria apply to both destination and Caller ID (CLI) numbers specified in Call Barring. For instance, 91 would block calls with a 91 prefix.

  2. When configuring "Call Barring" with an account type as "Select," the restrictions apply globally, impacting the entire system.

  3. By creating or updating "Call Barring" with a specific account number selected, the restrictions are applied exclusively to the chosen individual account, offering a granular approach to call blocking.

How will it work?

We can install the Call Barging Addon under the Enterprise section as per the below screenshot.
