Overview

"Call Barring," which allows administrators or users to restrict certain types of outgoing or incoming calls based on defined criteria.

Purpose :

Call Barring, also known as call blocking or call restriction, it is a feature in VoIP switches that allows network administrators or users to control and restrict certain types of calls. It helps manage and secure the use of the VoIP network.

Where to find call barring?

We can install the Call Barging Addon under the Enterprise section as per the below screenshot.

Menu Location : Switch → Call barring

To delete an entry for call barring

Import

To import call barring file

To export call barring file


Field

Description

Name

Name of the call barring profile.

Number

Destination number or prefix which you want to filter.

Account Number

Select the account number on which you want to apply

Type

White List : If admin have blocked specific range and still he/she wants to allow specific pattern then those pattern will be added as a white list string.

Black List : If Admin wants to block specific pattern then needs to select option Black List.

Number Type

Destination : Destination number string

CLI : CallerID Number string

Status

Enable/Disable

  1. If Call Barring will be create/update Number with *** then it will be work as prefix based Call block as per set as destination/CLI(Caller ID Number) in Call barring. For Example :- 91*

  2. If Call barring will be create/update as account type as - Select - then it will be apply globally.

  3. If Call Barring will be create/update by using select account number, then it will be apply only on particular selected account.
