Interconnect Code

Overview

The introduction of the Interconnect Code feature in ASTPP enhances the capabilities of the Multi-Tenant PBX system. This feature is designed to facilitate seamless interconnection between different companies within the PBX environment.

Purpose

The primary purpose of the Interconnect Code feature is to enable direct communication between companies hosted on the Multi-Tenant PBX. For instance, if an extension (e.g., 1001) from Company A wishes to connect with the corresponding extension (1001) in Company B, users can utilize the Interconnect Code. By appending the interconnect code before the extension number, users initiate a direct and secure connection, fostering efficient communication between companies within the Multi-Tenant PBX system.

How will it work?

Accounts→Customers→ Interconnect Code

As an integral component of the Multi-Tenant IP PBX add-on, the Interconnect Code feature seamlessly integrates into the system upon installation, a dedicated section for Interconnect Codes becomes available. In this menu, users can define unique interconnect codes on an account-by-account basis. Each interconnect code is exclusive to a specific account, ensuring that only one interconnect code can be created per account.

In the Settings menu, specifically under "Interconnect Code," users have the flexibility to define the length of interconnect code numbers. The default length is set at 6 digits, but users can customize this value as needed.

It's important to note that altering the length will result in the deletion of previously created interconnect codes, necessitating the recreation of these codes with the updated length.
