Rate Group Management

Overview

Rate Group serves as a means of categorizing and organizing various rates or pricing plans associated with specific destinations or call types. It is an integral component for structuring the diverse pricing landscape within the telephony billing system.

Purpose

The primary purpose of Rate Groups in ASTPP is to define a systematic pricing structure for calls made to specific countries, regions, or even specific phone numbers. By grouping rates, service providers gain the flexibility to apply distinct pricing based on various factors, such as the destination of the call. This feature empowers providers with the ability to efficiently manage and tailor pricing plans to suit the unique requirements of different call scenarios, enhancing the overall precision and adaptability of the telephony billing system.
