DID as CID

This feature allows the system to use the DID number as the Caller ID when a call is forwarded. It is managed through the "DID as CID" checkbox available in the DID forwarding settings, for both with PBX and without PBX scenarios.

✅ When “DID as CID” is Enabled:

  • The DID number will be used as the Caller ID.

  • This applies even if the call is being forwarded to a PSTN destination.

  • CLI pool rules are skipped, meaning no Caller ID will be fetched from the CLI pool.

  • All other logics such as localization, routing, and permissions will continue to work as usual.

🚫 When “DID as CID” is Disabled:

  • Caller ID will be selected based on the standard flow, which may include the CLI pool or other configuration.

  • CLI pool and localization checks are fully applied.

📸 Example (Refer to Attached Screenshot):

  • DID Number: 100000

  • Original Caller ID Received: 1799

  • Since “DID as CID” is enabled, the system overrides the original Caller ID and sends 100000 as the outgoing Caller ID when the call is forwarded to PSTN.

This helps ensure consistent caller identity when forwarding calls from specific DIDs.
